These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Amygdala platform, API, and related services operated by Amygdala B.V. (soon to be established) ("Amygdala", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract to use Amygdala. By using our services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your API keys or allow unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at joran.cornelisse@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
New accounts receive $50 in free credits upon registration, no credit card required. Credits are consumed as you use the platform and API. Once credits are exhausted, continued use requires a valid payment method. Amygdala uses usage-based pricing billed in arrears. All fees are in USD and non-refundable unless required by law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing credits are not affected by price changes.
You may use Amygdala for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
API access is subject to rate limits as described in the documentation. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the API complies with these Terms and with applicable law, including any data protection obligations that apply to you as a data controller.
If you are an EU-based business using the API to process personal data, you should sign a Data Processing Agreement with us. See our DPA page for details.
Amygdala and its content, models, scoring methodology, and software are owned by Amygdala B.V. (soon to be established) and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. You retain ownership of any content you submit to us.
Amygdala integrates with third-party services (e.g. Stripe for payments). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Amygdala is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Authority scores are data-driven estimates and should not be treated as definitive assessments of any individual's character or professional competence.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amygdala's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease and any unused credits will be forfeited unless otherwise required by law.
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
