Blobifi flags schedule risk for Artemis III, noting no crew named about a year out and discussing how a mock ICPS profile could enable Orion to inspect the core stage after MECO like Shuttle-era checkouts.
We are like a bit over a year away from when Artemis III is supposed to launch and we still dont have a crew.
If NASA uses a mockup ICPS for artemis III, orion will separate from the corestage at MECO and will perform its perigee raise burn about 40m after that.
That gives the crew about 30 minutes to use orion to check out the corestage while in orbit like the space shuttle used to.
