Semaglutide Wegovy prescribing after heart attack or stroke in UK guidance

The BMJ reports new guidance allowing GPs to prescribe semaglutide to overweight patients with prior heart attack or stroke or serious leg circulation problems, expanding cardiometabolic access in primary care.

GPs will be able to prescribe semaglutide (Wegovy) to overweight patients who have had a heart attack or stroke, or who have a serious circulation problem in their legs, under new guidance
