In r/privacy, tenants are alarmed by Ring cameras capturing inside-apartment views when doors open, and focus on jurisdiction rules plus lease language to push landlords for repositioning or restrictions.

Ring camera pointed directly at my apartment door. The inside of my apartment is for sure visible to the camera when the door is open.
How do I approach this with the landlord? How do I phrase it? I don't feel saf
Property managment maintained that our state laws were not violated becuase once outside I 'had no reasonable expectation of privacy'.... but that cameras cannot be pointed into private l
For now I’d put a curtain directly on the inside of your door so you can drape it before you open your door when you leave.
