Shift from long term holding to shorter term opportunity hunting

April 7, 2026r/CryptoTechnology, r/defi

In r/CryptoTechnology and r/defi, some participants argue the easy gains are gone and prefer defined setups or copying skilled wallets, while others insist holding still wins for most people.

are you guys still focusing on long-term holds or shifting more toward shorter-term opportunities?
lately i’ve been thinking more in terms of defined opportunities instead of just ‘this will go up eventually’
started copy trading hyperliquid whales on perps recently alongside my own trades and it’s been kinda interesting
By actually using it to learn from other traders while carefully supplementing your income with their trades and not going overboard, you can "learn while you earn", so to speak.
for 95% of this subreddit, holding will always be better than short term opportunities
