NASA skepticism about commercial LEO station market viability

March 24, 2026Andrew, Dave G, Blobifi

Dave G and Andrew amplify NASA’s on-stage message that commercial LEO station plans lack market demand and face rising costs, creating a credibility shock for would-be ISS successors.

NASA: "No demand or market for LEO stations and costs are all going the wrong way"
For those asking for context: Nasa basically just went on stage and said the current commercial LEO plans won't work. It's too hard for those companies (vast, voyager etc), Nasa doesn't have enough money for it and there isn't a commercial market to support them.
Holy crap, that was a huge slap in the face to commercial space station companies.
Starting the science and discovery presentation with 30 minutes of LEO Space station dooming 😭😭
Also NASA: "Lets do the same thing on the moon"
After 25+ years telling Congress & public that #ISS needed funding since it was where ground breaking research & medical cures would be developed #NASA now admits it has not happened. If they can't do this after 25 years why push commercial space stations to try
Finally about to watch. This is a much needed reality check. Especially the understanding that NASA will be the majority customer.
